Step-by-Step Guide to Setting Up AesirX Analytics on WordPress

Step 1: Create an AesirX Account

  • Visit https://signup.aesirx.io/.
  • If you don't have an AesirX account, click on the option to create one.
  • Enter your email address, choose a privacy ID, and select "First Party Analytics" from the Solutions drop-down menu.
  • Enter your domain name and click "Verify" to submit your request.
  • Check your email (including spam folder) for a confirmation message containing your license ID.

Step 2: Install AesirX Analytics Plugin

Download the Plugin:

  • Go to the First Party Analytics plugin section.
  • Click on the WordPress icon to go to GitHub and download the latest release.

Install the Plugin:

  • Log in to your WordPress admin panel.
  • Navigate to Plugins > Add New.
  • Click on "Upload Plugin," choose the downloaded file, and click "Install Now."
  • After installation, click "Activate Plugin."

Step 3: Set Up Additional Plugins

  • After activating AesirX Analytics, go to Plugins > Add New.
  • Search for "WP Control," click "Install Now," and then activate the plugin.

Step 4: Activating AesirX Analytics

  • Once WP Control is activated, navigate to Plugins > Installed Plugins.
  • Find "AesirX Analytics" and click "Activate."
  • You will be redirected to the AesirX Analytics configuration settings.

Step 5: Configuring AesirX Analytics

  • Set up preferences such as server setup (internal or external), user consent options for privacy compliance, and integrate with WooCommerce if your site includes e-commerce.
  • Obtain your solution key from the AesirX sign-up page, paste it into the license field in the AesirX Analytics settings.
  • Download any required libraries and click "Save" to apply the settings.

Step 6: Adjusting Permalinks

  • Go to Settings > Permalinks in your WordPress dashboard.
  • Choose a permalink structure other than "Plain" (e.g., Day and Name, Month and Name) to ensure proper data tracking.

Step 7: Access Your Analytics Dashboard

  • Access your AesirX Analytics dashboard via the AesirX Business Intelligence menu on your WordPress dashboard.
  • Here, you can monitor and analyze various metrics to enhance your website's performance and user engagement.
